Joey Jay:

Miss Gay Phoenix America 2025

Joey Jay, crowned Miss Gay Phoenix America 2025, is a trailblazing performer whose charisma, authenticity, and unapologetic approach to drag have made him a beloved figure in the LGBTQ+ community. Known for his bold artistry and signature charm, Joey gained national recognition as a contestant on Season 13 of RuPaul's Drag Race, where he proudly showcased his distinctive style and celebrated his identity.

Joey began his journey in drag pageantry seven years ago in the USofA system, where he discovered the power of pageantry to refine his craft, connect with diverse styles, and give back to the community. “Pageantry fast-tracks your craft and teaches you the ethics and strategy of business,” Joey says. As Miss Gay Phoenix America, he continues to encourage performers to embrace pageantry as a platform for growth and self-expression, proving that success comes from staying true to yourself.

His goals as a titleholder are deeply rooted in his passion for Arizona’s drag community. Joey seeks to inspire others to embrace their individuality, enrich the local community through his contributions, and take meaningful steps toward his ultimate dream of becoming Miss Gay Arizona America and then Miss Gay America.

With a drag persona he describes as "charming," "fierce," and "gay, of course," Joey draws inspiration from icons like Aurora Sexton, Envy Peru, Sasha Colby, and Alyssa Edwards. Whether dazzling audiences in stunning gowns by Coco Vega and Monique Vee or bringing his signature wit and style to the stage, Joey continues to push boundaries and uplift those around him.
